Gap Insurance Claim TNJ-KKHGD-495 / 55069672372
PLEASE READ!, Do not use this company! I took out gap insurance with this company for my Mini Cooper which I had on Finance. Unfortunately I had to claim on this policy because of my car being written off during a storm. This is when the stress started and I was put in contact with Davies Group who deal with customers on behalf of Click4Gap. In all honesty this is most stressful experience I have ever had with a car and will dealing with a insurance company / company in general. There was severe delays and the customer service team were useless. It got to the point that I had to return my hire car before the claim was settled and I had to rush to get a new vehicle. During the claim I was promised that the claim had been settled and that there would be a substantial pay out from the claim. The company stated that I would have about £7,000.00 in a pay-out for this claim and that I could put this money down towards a car. Which was sent to me in writing. I was very apprehensive at this point by the company so I took this with a pinch of salt. Luckily I didn't put this money down on a new car as after all the delay and false updates, the company stated I had no claim in the first place. I have since raised a formal complaint because of this, which as expected, still hasn't been resolved and I have had no update from the company.

£7.50 refund what an insult!!
I have used this company for many years without any bad words to say about them. When changing my car they have always offered a discount and waved the admin fee.
How things have changed tried changing vehicle click4gap said the only option was to cancel the policy, I had 21/2 years left on the policy and received £7.50 refund. What can I say. Will not use again!!!

Took cover out for £171 4th March 2020…
Took cover out for £171 4th March 2020 and cancelled 5th August 2021 (17 months) as vehicle sold on a policy covering 4 years (48 months). Received £9.20. You would have thought at least 40% of the policy back would have been reasonable given the time period. £9.20 is pretty much a joke, please keep this in mind if you use this company. I get the game of insurance but basically took all payment for a few emails, most of the life of the policy still left to use and no real rebate policy. Even accepting an admin charge even at £50 for example and rebate of period used on the policy with remaining balance left to refund would have been fair.

Excellent Service
I purchased GAP insurance for the first time from Click4Gap after buying an Audi, and I'm glad I did. I purchased cover for 4 years and after owning my Audi for just under 2 years, it was stolen for the 2nd time. The first time I was threatened with a hammer and forced to hand over the keys, luckily the car was recovered using the power of Facebook. The 2nd time was just before Christmas, this time I was threatened with a knife. From informing Click4gap that my car had been stolen to being paid was around 3 weeks, most of this was down to the fact my insurance had to confirm they had paid out before Click4gap would pay out. All in all, I lost just under £1000 from the price I paid for the car 2 years earlier, without gap insurance, I would have lost £5000. Click4gap were excellent in dealing with my claim and I will be using them again for my replacement car.

Value for money and peace of mind
I purchased this last year when I got my new car. Luckily I haven't had to use it but is definitely value for money for the price.

Fantastic Service!
I cannot fault this company. I took out GAP Insurance through them last year when I purchased my new car, taking out their back to invoice option. I had a nasty accident three weeks ago and wrote my car off. I contacted Click4Gap who assigned me to Leanne, who was fantastic. She liaised with my insurance company without me having to chase her and kept me updated all the time. I was paid out within 10 days of my accident without any questions and they even paid off my excess for me (this was called an "Excess Buster" and definitely worth doing). They then provided me with a loyalty discount for my new car, which amazed me as I thought the price would go up having claimed from them!
They have made this horrible process very easy and not at all stressful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

BEWARE!
BEWARE!
If it were possible I'd give no stars for this company. Click4gap should be avoided if you don't want to be 'ripped-off' in a roundabout way. Beware, because there is a clause buried in the schedule, which was not made known to me when I first paid the cash up front, that says, is you cancel within 6 to 12 months, you will only receive a rebate of 35%, less £25 cancellation fee. In my case, after 10 months I changed my Hyundai Ioniq EV for a VW Golf R. The premium had been £249 and I received a refund of £62.15. So 10 months gap insurance has cost me £186.85 Or £161.85 If you take off the £25 cancellation fee. I must admit that, when I rang to complain, the lady I spoke to was very sympathetic, and explained in detail why I had received such a meagre amount on cancellation. Being an 80yr old pensioner this has really annoyed me as, when I was in my twenties and you bought a new car, you got value for money, something that doesn't seem to exist any more.
